that should be, and in thirty seconds could be, answered in the top-level description of this plugin.
The plugin description mentions MasterTIcketsPlugin. Does this plugin enhance that one, or replace it?

tickets.
Ermmm... neither really....
This is a completely different plugin to mastertickets plugin.
Childtickets provides a quick way to manage parent/child relationships between tickets and to create child tickets from within a parent ticket. You can use it to set a number of restrictions on the type of child ticket that is allowed and also other things like the attributes that are inherited when such a child ticket is created.
Mastertickets enables you to create far more complex inter-dependencies between tickets and in addition it has the excellent feature of being able to visualize those dependencies graphically using graphviz.
I guess it depends exactly what nut you'Re trying to crack as to which plugin you'll choose!
Hope that helps
