Description
I can host the plugin repo on Bitbucket/Google Code/CodePlex, but I want to know if there is a recommended location or if you plan to offer Mercurial hosting.

Thank you, it seems like a sensible approach in the current situation.
Hopefully someone will take a look at the Mercurial hosting solutions for internal use: Mercurial Hosting: Intranet hosting

As far as I know, there is no official recommendation, but BitBucket and GitHub seem to be widely used. I see SourceForge used from time to time as well.
My personal preference lately is to do development on BitBucket where I can use Hg, and then push released versions to the t-h.o SVN repository. I think this is good practice because the code in t-h.o won't disappear, as can be the case if someone on an external site decides to remove their account.
fwiw , we have a forest of hg repos converted with hgsubversion . We're hoping to get them released soon @ bitbucket . There are still an open questions regarding the subject of how to track mapping of hg commit hash onto svn changeset ID .

Eventually I hope to setup host-side repository mirroring between SVN and Git using SubGit. I haven't seen a similar solution for Hg, but if you spot one please let us know.
