Description

I've been looking for more functionality to trac in the form of adding tasks (or tickets) and having an approval process to it. IE if I want to upgrade apache on our production servers, I will add a task for myself and it would email a list, and the manager/approver would then approve or not approve of the task.. to keep an audit trail.

anyone seen one? or want to create something?

It sounds like you want to modify the workflow such that the transition from new -> assigned is limited to users with a specific permission. I believe this can be readily accomplished by specifying a permission for the transition. See the ​Ticket Workflow Customization Documentation.

If you don't think this can be accomplished using the existing workflow, please re-open the ticket.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain anybody.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment

E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences.
