Real-time progress bar for attachments uploads

Description
Something akin to this would make uploading large files via a web browser far less unpleasant. A 'cancel' button, the ability to upload multiple files from the attachment page and the option to automatically extract file archives would also be helpful.

Replying to dfu23: Using Flash is certainly an option - I'd be interested to see what you have in mind.

Actually, I'm really close to having something working myself. I'll hopefully have a patch ready to upload in a couple of days

If using Flash for the upload is an option then I have something that could be utilized. Let me know if you are interested.
