#10987 new enhancement

Ability to display tickets based on ticket's changetime

Reported by: gribovm@… Owned by:

Description

It is very useful plug-in. Thank you.

One feature that we would like to be added is the following. We would like to have a calender view of closed tickets on days when they have been closed as opposed to days when they have been opened/created.

Can you provide an option to select "time" or "changetime" or both to be tied to the calendar?

You're welcome.

It is not as easy as that. Trac tickets can receive comments in 'closed' state, so the changetime will change too, and you need more sophisticated queries to retrieve last ticket resolution time. Yes, on ticket could get closed multiple times too, so need to take care of that too. I've done the query before, so most of what I have to think about is how to tie it to the already long list of arguments, finding a short and rather self-explaining name.

On more thing to consider is the presentation style. Because the single-strike-through style is already common for closed tickets in general, we need to find a different, distinct styling for closing-dates, and to agree on preference, if multiple dates are identical. To the extreme: If a ticket is set to due on creation date and is resolved the very same day too, I suggest to show the ticket link in 'closing-day' style. closing-due-create would be the sequence then, first matching style wins.

You seem to like "close-date instead of open-date", but others may like a different display. I conclude, that it would be best to allow switching on/off all three of create|due|closing-date, right?
