My previous commit messages has the pattern: .*#s.*
, so I configured that pattern, but I am not seeing any change log in the ticket details.

I'd be happy to help you debug the issue, but we'll need more info. Let's start with, can you see the plugin in the web admin panel so that you are certain it is loaded? Which backend are you using? Have you tried the default configuration to confirm that it works before changing
log_pattern
